"A New York Treasure" --Village Voice

So This Is What It Feels Like To Go Insane

Last night I got home around 2 AM and still had some work to get done; this ad came on at about 3:30. You will note that it’s for a personal injury law firm and that it features a crudely drawn rapping, dancing squirrel.

I don’t think they should be allowed to air something like this at that hour. If it wasn’t for YouTube, which confirmed for me that this is a thing that exists, I might have checked myself into Bellvue.

What's that number?--I didn't quite catch that.

O. M. G.

Speechless.

You should hire them to sue them for your mental pain and anguish.

I thought the same thing when I saw it a few weeks ago.

Emma is thinking alot like me lately.

She should be very worried.

The squirrel would be better off as roadkill from one of those cars.

...They even got the out-of-sync skip in the editing...

A law firm actually paid somebody; an actual human being ferchrissake, for that commercial. They have clients who might not have seen that commercial yet. They might not ever see that commercial. The law firm may not even want their present clients to see that commercial.

But someone who did see it is out there right now about to call that number because of the commercial. That's the scary part...

Dancing Squirrel should fill in for Judge Judy like David Brenner used to fill in for Carson.
