Ah, wonderful. AJ Burnett finally had that lemon of a performance as he put his team in an early hole that buried them for the day. They had their chances but the Yankees have seemingly done everything wrong in the first three games in Chicago. Once again, they did not come through with the key hit with runners on base, did not mount any significant rallies. Meanwhile, the Sox piled on late and as the White Sox cruised, 14-4. Coupled with another Red Sox win, the Yanks lead is down to just a half-a-game. Boston and New York are tied in the loss column.
Anyone get a wee bit frustrated watching that game yesterday? Did the broadcasters on Fox put you over the edge? I was hanging by a thread myself.
Bleecchhh!
I give AJ a pass, unlike the guy who "thought" it was a good idea to play Ransom at 1B, and Ransom and Hairston in the same game. Cash needs to step up and DFA Ransom, otherwise it's on him as well.
I give AJ a pass too. He's strung together quite a few good-to-terrific performances, this'll happen every once in a while.
It's funny but I'm sort of looking to Chamberlain to bail the team out. Silly, I know, but he's been excellent lately. I'm going with the flow.
The Royals DFA'd Sir Sidney...
[4] oh dear god - someone better put some kind of watch out for mattpat
yeah you can't be too upset with aj for that one - he didn't have much, but after all those good games, he was bound for a shitty one
they are getting on base, just not getting enough runs in - that will turn around
they need to snap out of the poor plays though and certainly poor cody needs to never be used at 1b again nor be allowed to continue to hit in big spots when he could easily be ph for; and probably just removed from the roster
and yes, having to endure mccarver and brennan during that fiasco just made it that much worse
Sir Snacks > Mitre, but I would opt for Igawa at this point if they continue to start Ransom more than Hughes.
