Constant Elevation

New York, New York Big City of Dreams (and everything in New York ain’t always what it seems)…

I’ve got a good one for you.  Dig this boss site, New York City Walk.  Dude from New Mexico came to New York and walked every street in Manhattan.  Took him two years. And he kept a blog.  It’s fascinating.  Here’s a neighborhood-by-neighborhood breakdown.

There’s just no end to the cool people in this world, is there?

No, there isn't... and you usually never have to go very far to see or meet one of them!

: )

that is cool - and impressive, i pride myself on having been in basically all the neighborhoods of the 4 boroughs (sorry si) - but every street - damn - will definitely check that blog

and oh man i hate the snoop dogg pound version of that line - which is the only one i ever think of when i see/hear it

Damnit, every time I do something cool someone has to go and trump me with an even better thing!

Last month I did the Great Saunter, a 32 mile walk around the circumference of Manhattan Island in one day.

But every street? My feet are hurting just thinking about it.

[3] This does not thrill me a ton. Perhaps they plan on piggybacking Hughes onto Wang tomorrow, since the latter will be on something like an 80 pitch count?

Ugh, Hughes to the pen? What exactly does the kid have to do? He throws 8 shutout innings one start, struggles a little bit but wiggles out of it the next and his reward is the pen? If they use him a la Santana then I'm ok with it. If Hughes usage becomes Joba ver 2 I am going to be really upset.

I wonder if Hughes can be turned into a latter-day Mark Eichhorn?
(without the saves)

That's my station. If he didn't check out Marble Hill then he didn't complete the journey. We're going to let New Mexicans dictate our borders? I'd say I'm 82.6 percent complete, including Marble Hill. Dope shit though. People outside of NYC love our city more than we do, or at least appreciate it more.

LA, LA by CNN with Tragedy and Mobb Deep is the best version, just replace the LA's with NY's.

10, Ah the grim, murky days of the mid-90s. I still have LA LA on wax.
