Toby! No! Do not invoke Kei Who Must Not Be Named in connection with the 40 man roster!

I don't mean to pick on Toby, but why would he suggest that maybe Ian Kennedy might pitch this year for the Yanks to save some innings for Joba? Kennedy's just starting to throw and I think they'll take their time with him. Pete Abe just reported:

"Ian Kennedy will not pitch in the minors this season but plans to pitch in Instructional League and then the Arizona Fall League. The Yankees could, in theory, also send him to Winter Ball after that. He could get a fair amount of innings that way."

I'm sure Toby's a knowledgeable guy where the Mets are concerned, after all he is a Mets blogger, but I wish they'd gotten someone more knowledgeable about the Yankees to talk about the Yankees. (Maybe someone like Alex, Cliff, etc...)

[2] to correct myself a bit, Pete Abe is reporting that about IPK based on an AP report by Mark Didtler....
