Golson is minor league filler, right?

I ran that picture on the back page of my college newspaper for no reason before I graduated. Just because I was the sports editor.

[1] No, he's going to start in center ahead of Grandy.

[3] I could also see him on the main roster as a pinch stand there.

Sure. Seems like he may get invited to camp (being only 24), but will end up in SWB barring injuries.

I'm sure he will. I'm just having Guzman flashbacks

Does anyone know whether Trickie hit any pins with this roll? Moreover, Adam Cartright died. I didn't know that Lorne Greene had him, hoss, and little joe by different women. What were their names and what happened to them?

Anyone see this? http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=wojciechowski_gene&page=wojciechowski/100126&sportCat=mlb

I REALLY wish sports writers would stop writing garbage like this.. (and that I had the discipline not to read and then get irritated). And, can Roger Maris' family maybe move on to something else, please? Does anyone else find the whole "family-members-of-dead-record-holders int he stands to watch new record" as lame as I do?

[0] Any photo I see of Richard NIxon makes me laugh..something just so dour about the man, cracks me up.

AB, awesome-O Muddy Waters in that earlier post, thanks!

[8] Oh, i didn't state my objection to the Gene Wojciechowski article. If he in ANY WAY can really equate taking steroids with gambling on baseball (on your OWN team, as manager)...well, he has no business writing for the major online sports page. I mean, it's beyond idiocy to say that...

[9] I don't know if it's equating per se, but both potentially damage the integrity of the game.

[4] Every team needs a pinch bench warmer.

[9] Baseball now has a rule that the first offense for using steroids is a 50 game ban, second offense is 100 games. It has long had a rule that the first offense for betting on a game in which you have a duty to perform (even as a manager) is being put on the permanently ineligible list. Now we can argue whether steroid use is as bad as betting on your games but currently MLB does not make them equal.

I really hate these "high horse" sports columns.
