You couldn't photoshop Wang's face into this picture?

I said before that that park might help Wang, and I still believe that.

The esteemed Steven Goldman points out over at the PB that the Nats' defense certainly won't help Wang . . .

. . .but his best year was probably 2007, when the Yanks weren't exactly great on defense (13th in MLB in defensive efficiency, .689). Washington's defensive efficiency last year was .686. I'm not sure if they'll be better or worse (Dunn is supposedly playing first full-time this year), but I'm not sure the Nats' defense will necessarily hurt Wang much. Zimmerman is quite the gloveman at third, at the very least.

I'm a huge Wang fan and I live in DC so even though he isn't supposed to pitch until May, I'm looking forward to getting to as many of his games as I can. $2 million for a half season seems like a generous contract for a guy still rehabbing, but I'm glad to have him down here.

[4] As opposed to, say, $10 million for a year after coming off shoulder surgery. Man, I wish I had a health plan like that! >;)

Great guy, huge contribution for a few years. But I would be very surprised if he ever replicates his glory years. All that aside, I wish him well.
