Not playing can you top this, but I liked the bar scene in Wiseguys, also.
Yeah, I think that the scene with SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE in Good Fellas is a pale imitation of the Mean Streets sequence. It's a good effect--reinforces Jimmy's scariness--but that's it, whereas the bit in Mean Streets introduces the character and the ball of trouble that he is.
