I love him, but I don't like the clothes commercials. Why put a baseball in his hand. If there is someone out there who doesn't know what he does, too bad. He models the clothes as a man, not as a baseball player. It isn't a gillette ad.
I tried to find the Robert Guillaume commercial when he says "Grapefruit is good for you, but the taste, *tsk!*" but to no avail. Ah well. How do you know if grapefruit juice goes bad, does it turn to foam or something?
Spring training seems so so boring..why do they start on April 4th and not March 31st? Dead-horse-beat but...does MLB really not care that the WS is going into November?
[3] Yeah kinda, he was the pitchman for Ocean Spray in the mid-80's when they were trying to convince people that grapefruit juice was not only good for you, but could be made to be tasty too. That was probably achieved better in 1991 when they introduced Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, I suppose a slight improvement on (Benson's) Pink Grapefruit Juice, but I wouldn't know. At any rate, they're all about the cranberries now...
Really, Rob Neyer is only worthy of passing derision and that's it, but he did create some classic feedback with "It's obvious the Yankees don't care about defense" bit. Ded Sox fans need to be concerned that he's trying to cozy up to them far more than that he's trying to dis the Yanks. Nevertheless, props to William for tearing him a new one. On to the next one!
[5] Oh yes, endless rounds of "It's obvious.." jokes ensued aftert hat Neyer post.
Grapefruit Juice..pretty bad no matter what the color..
Chyll, when I was a little kid I was very confused about Benson the tv show and my cousin's George Benson albums..used to perplex me why on tv he was kind of blad, but on the record covers he had some rocking jehri curls..(cmon, I was like 5 years old and not too bright, cut me some slack..)

I actually really like grapefruit juice...little splash of Grey Goose in your Ruby Red and then you're REALLY in business
