My uncle Herve, mom's brother in Belgium, really turned me on to Bowie when I was 11 or something. I thought he was soooo cool. And this was Herve and his girlfirned--later his wife--'s favorite Bowie tune for the longest.

Must be the only one in the world who thinks Jones is a hugely over-rated copyist and yet the only one who liked Tin Machine.

I like some Bowie but it never really moves me. He's a bit of a cipher.

[4] I think that's partly by design.

Alex, good tune, but I could go for Panic In Detroit myself.

Also, c'mon, man, you do a rock'n'roll post the day after Alex Chilton dies and we get Bowie? As Bowie would say "Lookout, you rock'n'rollers!"
