Cano makes $11m next year. The Yankees then have 2 years of options ar $14m and $15m. While Cano has been good and might be better.... ya never know with this guy.

Can K. Russo play 2nd base?
Cano is getting very expensive, especially considering the economy.
Might the Yanks be looking to let Cano go if he doesn't live up to his potential?

i'm not positive of the specifics, but Joe is doing another Euro tour late this year. he should be back stateside next year sometime. new record too, apparently. in the meantime, his Stoker/Dracula project should hopefully get finished. he's also involved w/ some Beatles project and there's talk of an Ellington tribute, too.

hell, i only had 1 slice in nyc a month ago and it wasn't as good as usual. i'm having a crappy go of things lately, so i guess it's par for my course, right now... : ~
