Since we are still riding high from a sweet win, why not get right to some eats. Buddy of mine has been watching Treme and got to hankerin’ for some Hubig’s Pies, a New Orleans specialty.
I’ve never had one. They look sweet, gross, n’ great. Hu-dat?

they do look great (and the show is awesome) but is it me or do they seem to be pretty much the exact same thing as a Hostess Fruit Pie?
I mean I'm sure thats the Bayou equivalent of saying "whats the difference between Grimaldi's and Pizza Hut?" but seriously
speaking of sweet treats from New Orleans, I highly, most enthusiastically recommend the new one from Trombone Shorty. It's a funk, rock, jazz fusion thing called Backatown.

I was in Nawlins last May ... I wish I would have known about this ... (but I would have gotten blueberry or apple) :-)
Hm, all things considered, I think I prefer shaving cream.
[2] Amazing. I won't be able to get that out of my head all day. My little one just started playing the trombone and I'll show her tonight - give her some inspiration.
[5] cool! Trombone Shorty (Troy Andrews) grew up in Treme and was a bandleader by the time he was in first grade. I'm not sure if there's any footage out there, but he's been on the New Orleans music scene for almost as long as he's been alive.
By the way, the rest of the album is as good as that title cut. Hope your little one enjoys it!
Delicious? No.
