I'm no judge when it concerns smoking, but that picture makes me sad and angry at the dude in it. Not for acknowledging what he does, but for begging (and with a big shit-eating grin to boot) to support his habit. The stuff is supposed to inspire creativity, yo; use that creativity to think of a better way to earn some money, don't clown yourself like that...

[3] it used to make me come up with some pretty creative uses for Double Stuft Oreos back in the day

As a rule I don't give money to anyone who begs, honest or not. There has to be a better way to waste my money.

[5] "Honest beggars"... would that include telemarketers and pledge drives? >;)

Looks like Austin is staying in Trenton. I guess the Yankees have said to themselves "Let us leave Romine alone."

My guess: Moeller for Jorge, NJ to 60 day & then Golson for Logan. But do they have to do Golson for Jorge because the 10 day rule, & thus Moeller for Logan?

[7] :) (That's my other Weeping impression)

[8] I thought a hairline fracture in the foot would mean at least 15 days. At Jorge's age, he could use the time off. What a high percentage waste of space NJ turns out to be; but I'm not convinced JD would have been infinitely better. Well; at least he would have been a lesser liability than River (of Blood) Thames... yeah, I seddit...

For baseball chatter I just posted a baseball thread above...

That was a great article. I'm glad the Times is writing about this stuff, but it still sounds staid and East Coast. I had friends in New Orleans in this scene in the late 90s. Some of the best evenings I've ever had.
