Eh, I just wanted an excuse to show this old movie poster. Not a terrible movie from what I can remember. I’ve always liked William Petersen though I don’t know him from his recent success on TV.

i really don't want to be Jamie Moyered by Vicente Padilla
Good flick - underrated. It's tough stuff - everyone's pretty much a louse.
Friedkin is great when he's on his game.
Hey guys, just wanted to wish you both good luck, we're all counting on you. [insert Leslie Nielsen image here] No, but seriously, wishing for a fun series, hope it's close, hope the Dodgers sweep, not weep, of course ;) but not expecting that. Hope the Torre vs NYY stories don't bludgeon us all to death before we even reach Sunday (when ESPN will officially make us nuts and probably even bring David Wells into the booth for 3 innings, if their Curt Schilling talking about Manny thing last Sunday was any indication). Hope no one gets hurt. Hope it's all fun and games. Enjoy.
Btw, my dad the Yankee fan is getting senile -- he emailed me "I hope and expect the teams to split." Um, dad? So which game will each team get a half a Win out of, Saturday's?
Also, Padilla is a nutjob but he has really good stuff when he's healthy and not shooting himself. I wouldn't compare losing to him to losing to Moyer, who is amazing in many ways, but I would never call his stuff itself "great." Not that I expect Padilla to beat Sabathia tonight (the latter could hit a HR off him even) but ya never know. I expect 1 team to take 2 out of 3.
Hope to see some of you drop by Dodger Thoughts on ESPN.com. Ciao.
4) Word, peace to Dodger Thoughts. I just spoke with Jon today. My favorite baseball blogger ever. Great guy too.
Yeah, I hate Padilla. He's good but a chump. If the Yanks only win one game in this series tonight would be the night, followed by tomorrow because I'd like to see AJ have a good outing. Burnett has been doo doo for a month now, so on paper, that's the Dodgers' best shot. Pettitte has been good all year and CC is starting to get his mojo back.
[2] To Live and Die in LA is an absolutely great movie. Dafoe kicks ass as the villain and John Torturro is pretty good in a minor role.
