[1] i had lunch there, maybe last fall. i thought it was quite good. it was definitely more expensive than an around the way place, hell it is in chelsea, but i don't remember it being exorbitant.
5-0 Twins over the Rays so far. I'm off to vacation with the family at Lake Gaston for a week, see ya'll on the 16th. Let's root for Boston Massacre part IV.
I love R.U.B, for me, I find it to be the best BBQ in the city. Blue Smoke is definitely good, too. But my heart belongs to R.U.B. I think it's because the name sounds so dirty.
Raf, where in Westchester? Been to a few places in Mt. Vernon.
[5] The BBQ House and The Bayou, both on Gramatan Ave in Mt Vernon. There's a Ribs on the Run on Central Ave in Yonkers (near Nathans), and Hartsdale. And there's Q in Port Chester
[1] It's mid-range for a rib place. A full rack of ribs is about $24, but most other meats are actually priced by the pound. For about $20, you can get 1/4 of burnt ends, brisket, pulled pork and sausage with two small sides (their baked beans are excellent).
[5] I like RUB over Blue Smoke too. I think the ribs (St. Louis style) are more consistent at Blue Smoke, but otherwise I prefer RUB for all the other meats. By far, the best thing on the menu are the Burnt Ends. Unforunately, they usually don't remain on the menu for long. When I know I am going, I order them ahead of time. They aren't healthy, but absolutely melt in your mouth. I also like RUB sauce better, so if you are a wet BBQ fan, that's a consideration.
[7] I've been to Dinosaur BBQ when I was living in Rochester. Decent, it isn't anything great. Probaby trading more on the name more than anything else. If I'm going to go with a franchise for BBQ, it would probably be Dallas BBQ, Dickeys, or Brother Jimmys
I live in Westchester, and the best BBQ IMO is Q in Port Chester. They have another location in Mt. Kisco, but not as good.
Recently went to Fette Sau in Williamsburg, really good. And if you like Bourbon, they have the largest selection (like over 100 different bottles) at the bar.
[9,10] It seems pretty much every catered party I've been to the food is from Dinosaur. Including my b-day party. lol. I am kinda over it. I visited my friend in KC last summer and he took me to a joint called Oklahoma Joe's. It was connected to a tiny convenient store/gas station. It was amazing.
No prices, though... looks really good, but I'd hate to go all the way down there and find out it's beyond my budget.

Passed by there on my way to High Line Park. Seems good, but I think I can get more for my dollar in Westchester.

You guys ever been to Dinosaur BBQ? How does this place stack up?

[7] Never been there, but those I know who have didn't give it good reviews.

[6] Yeah, I've been to both on Gramatan. I heard about the place on Central Ave, isn't it just a pick-up spot, no seating?

[12] There's seating there
Bartlett ties the game on a grand slam, TB comes back from a 6-0 lead with help from the umpire
My man Maddon pinch hits for last week's hero, and Bartlett make him look like a genius.
[16] Maddon owes Guccione a steak dinner for that Aybar/Crain AB.
That's a genuine WTF moment, right there.
The Trop is a fucking joke. Can you imagine a playoff game being decided on some pinball bullshit? Ugh. But go Twinkies!
Twins take the lead on a Kubel flyball that hits the walkway hanging from the roof, and drops in for a singe.
Twins Win!
