That's a beautiful photo, of a beautiful building.
I tried posting this in the previous comments thread, but it's sitting there "awaiting moderation", presumably because of my embedded links. So I'll try again, and give a URL without the anchor tag.
I thought a loss today would mean that CC couldn’t be in line to start the ALCS (assuming we do make it there). But Mike Axisa points out that’s not true, because the ALCS won’t start until Friday. That means I’ll be able to enjoy tonight’s game more.
I always get freaked out when I look up at this building at night. It's scary up close. I never felt that way around the Empire State Building, though the World Trade Center made me kinda dizzy; they were so tall I felt like I could wrap my arms around them and touch my fingers.
[1] Unfortunately, Cliff Lee will be well rested also.
Since the NL finishes a day later then the AL, A NL Ace who starts game #5 on Wednesday won't be able to start the next series. If he starts game #4, he can start the next series, but on short rest.
So the AL starters have an advantage by starting (and ending) the series a day earlier.
I don't know how the ALCS/NLCS schedule goes.... which team starts/ends first, or if they are mixing the 2 leagues.
Does anyone think Joe will go with a 3 man rotation for the CS... pitching CC in games 1,4 and 7? If so, that will mean CC can't start then series, and can only go 2 in the WS... so maybe no. So if CC goes in games 1 and 5, he may hav regular rest for Game 1 of the WS.... which leaves open the possibility of a 3 man rotation for the WS.
I know no idea what's on Girardi's mind.
Anyone know/read anything about the possibility of a 3 man rotation for the WS?
