That's a good deal, I think!

I don't think it'll save them from finishing fourth in the division, but that's a good deal!

Jones is a very good signing. He can still play a decent OF and hits lefties very well (http://tinyurl.com/4o47ddv). In other words, he's a better version of Marcus Thames.

Yeah, good price. [2] His stats last season were good. And he particularly raked against lefties.

He is probably the best 4th outfielder they have had in quite some time, so it was a good signing. This will be interesting to see how the Yanks use their bench this year with so many older players on the roster.

Jones is a great 4th outfielder. My only concern is that Girardi might use him more than he probably should, you know, just because he's Andruw Jones.
I think he's going to get a lot more playing time than Thames received (and why not? he's a better player). This signing is probably not good news for Gardner. I think Gardner's going to end up being the 4th outfielder - mostly because who Andruw Jones - was.

hasn't Jones worn #25 his whole career?
would Teix give it up for him?

[8] not as weird as Chipper Jones in pinstripes, but yeah, weird.

Gardy hits RHP better, but his splits are not radical. However, I think we will see a semi-platoon with Gritner/Jones, with Brett going in for Jones in the late innings or a RHP reliever.

i'm totally down with this signing.

[6] yeah, i think he's going to get a lot of playing. with reachable incentives, he'll make at least $2.5, methinks.

[7] yup. always #25. i doubt Tex will give it up.

Decent signing. But man, how Andruw has fallen. From sure fire HoFer to 4th outfielder?
