Hank Steinbrenner popped-off today and the press is grateful.
Alex Rodriguez also spoke to reporters. “Did anyone watch the Super Bowl?” he said. Rodriguez talked about losing weight. From Chad Jennings:
“Kevin Long described it as, he likes to have power, but with the freedom of a swing,” Rodriguez said this afternoon. “I think over the last several years — you’ll have to talk to K-Long a little bit more about it — but he felt there were some restrictions in my swing and some limitations. I think it affected my power.”
…“Kevin Long believes that in order for the power swing to be perfectly right, he really wants you to stroke the ball to left-center,” Rodriguez said. “We always hear right-center, and he has his reasoning behind it, and a lot of it has to do with flexibility, which I think I’ve gotten back.”

I'm embarrassed to even ask this -- I'm going to sound like such a girl -- but is that the 2011 logo for the Grapefruit league? It's a beautiful image ... I'd love to have it on a poster or t-shirt or something. Would you please tell me where I can find it?
Hank annoys me. I don't really get the entertainment value, frankly. He usually just sounds dim-witted.
1) My bad. I didn't credit that image and I should have. Just do a google image search for "Grapefruit League" and you'll find it.
[1] Don't be embarrassed. That's a knockout image, and I clicked on the comments here just to see if anyone else had fallen in love with it like I did.
[2] I'll do my best not to annoy you anymore. I'm turning over a new leaf.
[4] I'll take it from here, Hank... >;)
Talk about being born on 3rd base and acting like he hit a triple. Hank should go stick his head up his ass and see if it fits. Dick!
Wow, Alex looks great!
[2] [6] Well, in the quote cited (except the commie part) I think Hank is absolutely right. Why should the Yankees support owners that do not invest in winning? The Pirates, for example, simply do not deserve to be a Major League team. And that is not the fault of their market size. And we know that money does not a winner make. See: Mariners.
