Ah, my first game of the Spring.

Good to have you back in my life, baseball.

[4] I know, right?

6 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Mar 4, 2011 7:33 pm

Colon really seems to have a nice changeup.

7 RIYank   ~  Mar 4, 2011 7:35 pm

Yeah, maybe Colon has one more time through the league in him. Interesting.

What a horrific story.
It's heartwarming that everyone contributed to this pour guy's family but it really shouldn't have to come to that.

[7] Heheheh.

God, I keep forgetting about Andruw Jones.
Weird.

Although these are not actually MLB players he's getting out.

12 RIYank   ~  Mar 4, 2011 7:42 pm

[10] I know, it will take a while.

13 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Mar 4, 2011 7:44 pm

That is one long swing that dude has.

14 RIYank   ~  Mar 4, 2011 7:50 pm

Yeah, I dunno. It's not the same. It's not real baseball. Most of the AB have been one pitch. The whole thing seems kind of silly.

No stride for you!

16 Diane Firstman   ~  Mar 4, 2011 7:53 pm

His swing looks awful with no stride ...

Joe: "So why would you ask?"

Good for you, Joe.

18 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Mar 4, 2011 8:00 pm

Joe just referenced Underdog!

19 cult of basebaal   ~  Mar 4, 2011 8:01 pm

Hey, YES, stop with the damn split screen.

I wanna see ALL of Banuelos' pitches.

20 cult of basebaal   ~  Mar 4, 2011 8:03 pm

Joe actually seemed relaxed in that interview, he should try that more often ...

21 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Mar 4, 2011 8:09 pm

Wow. That was quite the rope.

22 cult of basebaal   ~  Mar 4, 2011 8:10 pm

Man, that's some wind.

Alex *crushed* that pitch.

Oooh, nice hit, Derek, with the no-stride.

25 Just Fair   ~  Mar 4, 2011 8:49 pm

Robbie's laced double just melted 3 inches of snow in my yard.

26 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Mar 4, 2011 8:52 pm

[25] So nicely put.
That was one fuck of a drive, wasn't it?

Damn, it did the old heart good.

27 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Mar 4, 2011 9:05 pm

Hey, Kay got married?
Who knew!

28 cult of basebaal   ~  Mar 4, 2011 9:06 pm

Boone throwing 87-88 ... might be the return of NOgan ...

29 Diane Firstman   ~  Mar 4, 2011 9:11 pm

Werner Klemperer is still alive, and pitching for the Yanks?

30 Just Fair   ~  Mar 4, 2011 9:15 pm

My friend just sent me this email. This is proabably the best Red Sox-Yankee article you'll read this spring. The Yankees helping out the daughter of the Red Sox first base coach. She lost her leg in an accident.

[30] Yeah, Kim spent about an entire 1/2 inning tonite recounting the story in detail, pretty damn cool of the team and Kevin Long to do that.
