Curtis Granderson will not play today because of a strained oblique. No word yet on the seriousness of the injury.

You, I love Curtis, but for the first time in a long time I think we can weather the storm without sending some fringe major leaguer or career minor leaguer out there. If Granderson has to miss a little time, I'd rather he take his time and get healthy and we'll see what Jones has to offer.

Meat Tray serving up a poo-poo platter. he looks awful. hits, homers, balks, you name it...

Joe will justify keeping him when there are three viable options in front of him. He's good at that sort of thing.

prior looked pretty terrific in his inning. good velocity for short-arming it. good control, offspeed stuff and poise on the mound. and he looks pretty much exactly how he did 8, 9 years ago w/ the cubs. you'd think all the injuries would've aged him some...

I'm sorry I missed Prior.

The bottom of the 3rd was indeed ugly. Markakis ran well and ended up at 3rd, then the balk, duh. Both of the HRs were good shots, but the one by Scott was an absolute bomb. I couldn't track the ball, but the dudes in the box kept saying that it went over the scoreboard in dead center. The only silver lining was Roberts' at-bat--Mitre made him look ridiculous.
