Wait, the kitchen is closed at the barber shop? I'm confused.

Aww, man, rain, really?

All's dry up in the Have!

Dice-K with 90 pitches and no outs in top 4th..see, in Japan this would not matter because he would be allowed to throw 180 pitches, thereby providing a quality 8-inning start.

Cliff! Yup, kitchen, barber shop, it's all closed. Soup to nuts. LOL

Fuggin Dice K...Jeez, what a bust.

Ouch!

Both starters out in Cleveland, top 5th. Sox with men on base..

My mistake! Dice-K stilli n and only 76 pitches, I saw 90 next to the B-S count and thought that was his pitch count..was the speed tracker..

Ah, ok, not nearly so bad but still, not so good, either.

[9] I can't understand why the pitching coaches in the US have never been able to get Dice-K to stop nibbling..most of the pitchers do that here, a lot of 3-2 counts. With his stuff though he doesn't need to..

Funny thing, even will all the nibbling here by the pitchers, the games move along a lot faster.

Hafner batting now..what happend to that guy? Used to be a monster..

Does the rainout cancel the B Team lineup or does it move to tomorrow?

Reyes can't find plate for rthe Sox, two HBP..and now Indians show bunt? Don't give away outs!!

[11] I was wondering the same thing. And who pitches?
I guess if it's a double header, then we need Garcia, and we need the B team lineup.

Oooooh. Sorry, Dan Wheeler.
Next.

15 RIYank   ~  Apr 6, 2011 9:46 pm

Wow, look at that -- Reyes threw 12 pitches, exactly 1 for a strike.

Looks like we get to see my favorite Red Sock: Wakefield is up.

Cleveland 7 - 2011 WS Champ Red Sox 2

2 Run AGon... 7-4.
Man, Reyes pitched 0,0 IP, no hits, 1 BB, 2 HBP and 3 ER.
Would be nice to see the Sox go 0-5.

We have have 1 B line up, but so will they.
Guess we will definitely see AMOLINA at C tomorrow.

According to Lohud:
"This is Minnesota’s first and last scheduled trip in, and today is the series finale. The teams will stay on turn with their pitchers, so it will be A.J. Burnett and Francisco Liriano pitching.

Freddy Garcia, who was going to finally make his debut as the fifth starter Wednesday night, won’t be starting for a while longer. Joe Girardi was talking about a week from this Friday. That would be April 15 here in the opener of the Texas series. "

No DH?
No Garcia?
The Twins get to go out of their way late in the season to give us a needed 2nd half Home game?

I hate missing a game, but this looks like it works out well.

[18] Oh, right, for some reason I was thinking we had another scheduled game against the Twinks tomorrow.

[19] Long break for Garcia..is that a good thing?

Tony Sipp in the game for Cleveland!!

Loved the photo of the late great John Garfield. Wonderful actor in fight films and refused to rat off his friends to HUAC, which cost him his career.
RIP, Julie, RIP.

22 RIYank   ~  Apr 6, 2011 10:19 pm

[20] Well, I guess. He's not good at pitching, so I prefer to have him resting!
And Sipp worked out well there, too.

23 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 6, 2011 10:32 pm

[22] Yep, that is true.

Ladies and Gents, your 2011 WS Champion Red Sox are 0-5. Undoubtedly they wil be the first EVER 0-5 team to win the championship!

(I am enjoying their bad start wayy too much..sign of the immature fan, certainly..)
