Dig what I came across in Midtown yesterday…

Although this is a 2009 vintage I officially nominate this vehicle as the 2011 Bronx Banter Scoretruck. Can I get a witness?

Fresh direct from the Lo Hud Yankees oven comes news that Rafael Soriano is sorry that he split without talking to reporters last night.

Here’s tonight’s line-up:

1. Gardner LF
2. Granderson CF
3. Teixeira 1B
4. Rodriguez DH
5. Cano 2B
6. Swisher RF
7. Chavez 3B
8. Nunez SS
9. Molina C
Garcia P

Forget the chumps–or that Chump, in particular–here comes Fab Five Freddy and

Let’s go Yan-Kees!

As long as Chyll Will is okay with it, I'll ride that Score Truck, AB.

Whoa. I just noticed the bottom of the order. That doesn't look good at all.

Also, will they just skip the 8th inning tonight? Because we have nobody to pitch it.

Oh, HELL yeah!!!

[3] Looks like Joe's (the other Joe) house money lineup.

And yes, we surely will need to just skip the eighth.

I wonder if two fourth inning guys could combine to pitch the eighth. But do we even have two fourth inning guys? Or, hm, Colon is a starter, so he's a 1st inning guy. He could split it with Joba. No, then there would be nobody to pitch the seventh.

No, it's mathematically impossible.

The NY media is pretty good at making a mountain out of a molehill, I must say.

Is it raining? What's the delay?

1 out in the first and cleveland already has two runs on the board against the sucks. I like it.

[8] [9] Yeah, it's raining, and yeah, that's an excellent substitute for a Yankee game! Dude, can you just imagine saying to yourself, "Well, it's up to Daisuke to stop the bleeding..." That must be a horrible feeling.

[10] With Agon and crawford carrying the team on their shoulders (giggle), and with ace Dice on the mound, confidence must still be very high. Anything less than a WS ring this year will be a major disappointment, right?

Amen. Considering the state of the economy, a recycled Score Truck makes sense. And 2009 was an excellent vintage.

No game in the Bronx. Dat's it.
And the Sox tied their game, so that's less fun.
I guess I'll go do some non-baseball thing. Later, Banterers.

Blah. That sucks.

At least there's day baseball tomorrow.

Maybe night baseball too!
