That was way way WAY more entertaining than I'd ever have expected.

Though don't the Beastie Boys know anyone who's not white anymore? Hahaha

Word!

Danny McBride is white?

Interesting box score by the Grinch over in LA against the Anaheim Angelinos..

$142 million contract Carl Crawford just small-ball sacrifice bunted Lowrie over to 2nd base in the 6th inning..Boston Red Sox Sabrebaseball!

And Ellsbury singles him in, the bunt worked! Smartest team in baseball does it again!

Felix also mowing them down in Seattle, great pitching night.

Torii Hunter 2-run tater!

Looks like I'm "Lone-Lee" (Konitz) or "Solo Hawk" (Coleman Hawkins) here on the Banter tonight. Great pitchers duel up in Seattle is done, now tie-game at the Big A..it's so pleasant to see home runs off of Josh Beckett..

[10] Hmm..I got a trend going here, time to cue up "Solo Monk" (Thelonius) on the iPod..what's a lonely, lazy ACME Investigator to do on a sleepy Friday afternoon at the office?

Fernando Rodney just hit Jason Varitek..grounds for immediate DFA?

So the Grinch goes 8, 125 pitches. If he's back all season then Boston is going to be scary.

MLB players are amazing..D.Bard brings a 99mph heater and Torii Hunter grounds out to second. If I had 100 swings against a MLB fastball I wonder if could even make contact once?

So, free baseball in Anaheim!

Vernon Wells grounds out against Bobby Jenks to start bottom 10th. I think I would hate both those guys if they were on my team.

15 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 22, 2011 1:25 am

Hank Conger and Mark Trumbo (??) end the 10th for the Angels. On to the 11th!

Btw way (still going solo here like Cecil Taylor in Denmark), I caught up on the LA Dodgers situation and the McCourt divorce. Wow!!! Truly wretched pair those two.

Sox teeing off against Rich Thompson in the top 11th..they'll win this one, damn it.

2hrs till Guinness O'Clock. thelarmis, where are you for some jazz chat, man?

17 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 22, 2011 1:42 am

Forget who it is on the Banter that hates Mike Scioscia..but I can kind of see why..

4-2 Sox now, they should close it out with Lord Riverdance in the bottom of the 11th.

18 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 22, 2011 1:49 am

Aybar,Bourjos and Izturis to face Papelbon..how are the Angels winning with that lineup? Haren and Weaver better both win 30 games if they want to compete..

ah well, time to end this mentally questionable solo-blog-a-thon. Hope the Yankees kick some Oriole booty in the morning!

It's nice to know the Banter is so well taken care of while I'm sleeping!

There's no nightshift on the Banter...worldwide.

Did you see our Melky throw out Santana at the plate from CF, and get the game winner in the ninth as KC comes from behind and beats Cleveland? I do miss Melky's Latino flaired aw shucks charm (although he was no good for Cano), and it seems Arod was singing his praises this spring while working out with him.

They are loving him in KC, and are excited about Baseball there this year (too early).

I enjoyed this, thanks.

As for Melky ... Yeah. Especially with Gardner doing what he's doing or not doing so far.
