That was quick, ninety minutes before first pitch. Guess it's really raining with no let up in sight.

Kind of a break, since A-Rod was pulled from the line-up and sent for MRI. He'll miss the All-Star game.

[7] Neither ARod, Jeter or Mo is going to the ASG. I'M SO GLAD! The honor is being elected. 3 days off is a lot more important for the team. I wish the Yankees would have ALL contracts state they have final say over whether or not a player can go to the ASG.

September 22nd looks like a particularly good day for this makeup game. Both teams have an off day after playing each other in a 2 game series at Yankee Stadium. Yankees are at home on the 23rd and Tampa only has to fly from New York to Toronto.

Obviously getting that 3000th hit in Yankee stadium takes a bit of a hit, though. Still, Jeter's a pretty good bet to get 3000 before the break and the subsequent road trip.

Boston scored 8 in the first inning against Baltimore. Good to see the O's still playing so much better under Buck!

No game..time for an early day out with Jazz Jr and Jazz Princess.

[10] ... but Beckett left the game with an injury.

The Sox could be facing some very serious pitching problems. Of course, they score 7 runs a game, which can cover a lot of pitching problems!

Oh my God! You people see this?

And here's the kicker....
Josh Hamilton threw up the ball that caused the accident.
That could have serious effects on him on top of this tragedy.
