Wow, Youk to the DL. Ortiz is wearing one of those boots for his heel bursitis. Adrian Gonzalez hasn't hit a homer since early July. Pedroia has an August OPS of .685. That leaves a lot of weight on Jacoby Ellsbury's shoulders.

Time to accelerate and put a little distance between Pinstripes and Crimson Hose.

That's some cool art. I really like the second piece; it brings to mind the opening verse of Joni Mitchell's song "Amelia":
