No excuses, win a “w,” please.
Let’s Go Yank-ees!
The good news is that we all made it through the hurricane. The bad news is that "all" includes AJ.
No Jeter tonight, late scratch.
Shoot, the game's not on Extra Innings, so no game for me.
Ugly ab for Cano with a man on second, swinging at two pitches at his eyes.
Hi Banterers.
No electricity at my house. I'm off taking care of my essential communications, and checking in on the depressing baseball day. Ugh. Well, good that Colon can pitch again, I guess.
The RIYank family is just fine, but I'm a little worried that it might take days to get our power back -- half of the state lost power.
Hold the fort in my absence!
[5] glad you and yours are ok!!!
get the power back soon, we'll keep a light on for ya here! : )
Right knee contusion for Jeter. 1-0 O's--double, passed ball, sac fly.
5) Hang in there, my friend!
Oh look, the Yankees are losing again
Rapidly losing patience.
that pretty much negated andruw's working of the count...
we're still being shutout on the entire day.
Hmm.
Yankees look more impotent than Irene
Jeeesus fucking Christ.
[11] And looking *real* bad while at it.
[5] Same boat as my parents, but everything else is fine. Their biggest complaint is lack of internet access, which is a fine problem to have. They've got a grill & generator for the freezer.
[10] Come, friend, join me and step out of the rage cage. With the game blacked out on MLB.tv, I'm watching Angels vs Rangers ... and I am strangely at peace.
17) Better than watching Gardner struggle though he just worked a walk and had a good at bat.
Grandyman!!!
Kind of GRANDISH!
oh, that's GRAND!!!
Well, clearly, my decision to not follow the game is already paying dividends ... so I will continue to not do so!
Grandy tied for the AL league lead in HRs. 106 RBI.
Meanwhile, down in Texas, it's the 24th time this year the Rangers have played a game where the temperature was > 100 degrees at the start.
Let's GO NOVA.
Uh, not like that.
I love when I when I comment on the game on the wrong thread. lol....
Welp, easy come, easy go...
well, that sucks.
cheap ass, one out hit.
[24] I was in Dallas last month and it was 99 degrees past midnight. Simply ridiculous. It was like trying to breath with a hot damp wash cloth over your mouth.
Robinson! Whoo-hoo!
Fuggin A
ca-YES!
I guess these guys just collectively decide they are going to take some games off. Ala this afternoon. ; )
Delishious.
SWISH-A-LICIOUS!!!
Back to Back and Belly to Belly!
Thrice is nice
Huzzah!
Awwwww, bacon.
andruw fucking jones!
off a righty. me likey!
3 in a row!!!
Good for Russ. He's been stinging the ball all night with nothing to show for it.
[31] My sister lives up by the Oklahoma border. I think it's gotten over 100 every day except for 1 in the last 3 months.
Just insane.
Meanwhile, good things keep happening while I'm away, so ... I'm away again!
Go Yanks!!!
i was in the southwest desert for 2 weeks on this tour and it was easily over 100 degrees every friggin' day. it was just brutal. it was awful in the midwest when i was there, too. i don't know how people live in the desert. i couldn't take the heat...
[44] yeah, i was gonna text you to let you know what was goin' on. but you've got a pretty good game happening there. i'll check in again soon...
Bossa Nova!
MoDamn Curtis! You the fucking man!
Grandishosity
Bossa Nova, baby!
time to get the kid outta there...
well, it was obvious d-rob was gonna have to load the bases.
now, it's Houdini's turn.
Hamma Time!!!

Bullshit blue!
You're an asshole, Ump, he went.
Sit down, jack ass.
