Say you’ve got an empty cone–and for the sake of this argument, let’s pretend you like cones–what kind of ice cream would you put in it?

Not butter pecan >;)
First we have to choose soft serve versus hard ice cream. Then we have to talk about sprinkles. The kid in me wants a sugar cone with vanilla soft serve and choco or rainbow sprinkles. The adult would like a waffle cone with choco chip or mint choco chip.
Hmm. Jon is right [2] - cone type dictates ice cream choice.
For a sugar cone, a scope of mint chocolate chip on the bottom, a scope of mint moose tracks on the top. (You didn't say we were limited to just one kind of ice cream. =)
For a waffle cone, chocolate, with some kind of chocolate candy (not sprinkles, though).
For a "kids" cone, soft serve chocolate-vanilla twist, with nothing else.
Soft: Dickey's (Bethany Beach) Frozen Custard (chocolate-vanilla twist)
Hard: Lappert's (Kauai) White Chocolate Macadamia or Haagen-Dazs Pralines and Cream
Yeah, I think waffle cones aren't the sprinkle kinds. Pralines and Cream. Man, that sounds good.
soft: chocolate ice cream from Carvel
hard: chocolate ice cream from haagen dazs
wait, i think i'm confused by sugar/waffle. the carvel cone is lighter in color and has the flat bottom. other places have ones like the picture above. i can do either cone. see, i'm not picky!
no sprinkles. nothing fancy.
what - were you expecting something else?! ; )
Ya want good cones AND good ice cream? (and their burgers & BBQ ain't too shabby either!)

Lived in Va. Beach for 5 years and worked in downtown Norfolk - this place was a must-go at least a few times a month!
