Million Dollar Movie

Game got rained out so I’m watching “Spellbound” with the wife. She loves Hitchcock.

She is ascared, stressed, and can’t stop asking questions. “I love this movie,” she says. “Oh, I just love it.”

“How can you be typing at a time like this?” she says.

"Motherfucker. Motherfucker," says the wife when the movie ends. "Holy crap that was amazing. THAT was an amazing movie."

Never one of my favorite Hitchcock's despite those leads. I watched To Catch A Thief the other night on blu ray and it looked just incredible - the colors blew me away. It's a pretty slight film, but it works - a gorgeous bauble with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly.
I don't know if there was ever a director who seemed to instinctively understand the language of film as much as Alfred Hitchcock.

[5] Wow!
I just have two questions:
1. Where is Wanee?
2. What is butch trucks? (Is it a person, or are they trucks, or what?)

[8] Butch Trucks is the main drummer and co-founding member of The Allman Brothers Band. Wanee is a huge festival that is his brainchild and lasts several days. It takes place at the Suwannee Music Park campground site in Live Oak, Florida. There were 25,000 people there this weekend and some very big bands.

I play in a Fusion group with Butch's firstborn son. We ended our long hiatus and performed at the festival last year. Hopefully, we'll be back next year. Butch has now set up a similar festival for the northeast that will take place in August. If it's successful and there's a 2nd one next year, we'll probably play.
