I saw a security guard in my office building this morning. Knicks fan.
“You heard about Amare?” I said.
He looked up from a small pad of paper he was writing on. “No, what happened?”
“He punched a glass case after the game.”
“Why did he do that?”
“He was frustrated I guess.”
The guard looked at me and titled his head to the side. Squinted his eyes.
“He couldn’t hit something soft?”
Logical question. The big dope.
Landry Fields, perhaps?
Woke up to a loud explosion just before six this morning and have been up since. Passing t-storm dropped a bomb in the parking lot next door, I suspect. I always said our cat was lightning-quick, but after that thunderboom, I upgraded him to Jackie Robinson-quick. I rate this morning a "meh"...
I've just accepted that the Knicks are our karmic price for the Yankees and Giants
2) Then what are the Jets? Penance?
(3) Comic Relief
BTW, this is a great little piece on the Nets move to BK. There is some really good NY-centric sportswriting going on at Capital.

[3] A poor excuse for a professional football enterprise? =)
Sorry, couldn't resist . . .
If the Mets and Jets are the karmic balance to the Yanks and Giants, then the Knicks are around to keep us guessing.
Hockey, of course, is karmic all by itself.
Can the Knicks use this KevinBrown to void Stat's contract?
Amare reacted appropriately. I would have punched a glass case, if I didn't have kids in the house.
I really don't give a crap about the Jets. The Knicks make me crazy. I don't know how I got sucked in again this year -- I must have an idiot side, incapable of learning.
[8] Blame D'Antoni, he's defenseless...
