I'm watching with my hands over my eyes.

By the way, what is a 'Blue Collar' player?
One without a Masters Degree?

Rocket Robbie. That ball was laced.

[1] You know, the one's who play for free and travel by bus.
[2] Cano's beautiful swing is curing my cold.

In the old jazz days, when a guy missed a gig because of the "flu" it meant he was either strung out or in prison..Teix, stay off that smack!

Atta boy, Phil! Keep pounding the strike zone.

That's some serious power pitching. Where's this guy been?

Never has an organization taken such a beautiful think (baseball) and F#cked it up more than MLB: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120517&content_id=31535966&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb

The LOWER seed gets the first two home games? What the hell is this?

[6] Not so bad. Eliminates an off day, which I like.

8 OldYanksFan   ~  May 17, 2012 6:45 pm

Eek!

We need a new stat. FWRISP. Failure With RISP. Yanks would be looking sharp!

10 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 17, 2012 7:05 pm

Here, Jose. I'll just hang a nice curveball for you. Go ahead and hit it over the right field porch.

11 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 17, 2012 7:18 pm

1st and 2nd. No out. Double play. Check.

12 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 17, 2012 7:39 pm

3 for the their last 40 with risp. HORSESHIT!!!

13 OldYanksFan   ~  May 17, 2012 7:42 pm

Aside from Jeter and Gritner, we have a team full of guys who like to 'drive the ball'. Makes for some big innings and lots of RISP fail.

I'm not sure whats more extinct - the RISP truck or the dinosaur?

Have the Yankees successfully shifted on someone this year?

16 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 17, 2012 8:05 pm

Holy crap. He almost screwed up that out at home. Yeesh!

17 OldYanksFan   ~  May 17, 2012 8:26 pm

Anybody got some Mets tickets for sale?

18 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 17, 2012 8:32 pm

Damn you Omar! Cousin Oliver will never go away.

19 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 17, 2012 8:38 pm

[18] I'm a little dopey from cold meds but..that may be the single oddest post I can remember. Omar Vizquel doesn't look like Cousin "John Denver" Oliver..

Evening folks, just got back from the Frankie Brains and the Traveling All-Yankees show. Yankees won 4-1. Note, do not make Colin Curtis the strike out player of the game. There were a total of eleven hits (because Miley had to take Ramon Ortiz out after seven, with 8 Ks, 1 BB, 2 hits) by both teams, Curtis had 3 of them. First three innings took 1/2 hour, a very manageable 2:20 game. Miley was nice to me, Frankie at catcher, Ramon Pena at SS (no Nune7, 6, 5.)

looks like this is going to be the reverse of what I saw.

Good night.

Girardi has tried neurotic, obsessive over-rest to get this team going. Perhaps its time to go the other way. Play the same nine guys in the same positions and the same lineup spots for a week.

Is it ok to be frustrated and nervous now? High priced milquetoast.

Passion? Excitement? Competitive Fear? To butcher Yogi, it's getting late early here. Should we tune out until July? Is Brett Gardner that key? Yeesh.

[19] Darren Oliver was the one who came in to pitch. : ) Watch out for that cough syrup!

24 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 17, 2012 9:03 pm

[23] Oh man...I was WAYYYY off..what can I say, The Brady Bunch was a major part of my childhood. Comes out when I go all Roger Sterling on the cough syrup!

I know this is sophomoric, but "Click It, or Ticket" reminds me of "you got a lick it, before you stick it"

To those who are not watching or can't receive the Yes Post Game Show. Click It or Ticket are PSA commercials warning drivers to buckle up, or the cops will get you.

[25] I've actually seen those on other channels or online somewhere, I can't recall because I don't watch regular TV much. But those types of PSAs always lend themselves to parody; something about how incredibly serious they take themselves, coming from people who can hardly be taken seriously at all.

Speaking of which, I just can't take this team seriously right now in any respect. I neither feel they are contenders nor are they doormat material, just "meh". A combination of perhaps unrealistic expectations of certain players and from free agents during the off-season, bizarre in-game decisions by players and coaches, not to mention just plain bad luck if you believe in such. Who's going down with an injury next? Wait for it... :'
