Should be fun.

3 thelarmis   ~  Jun 12, 2012 4:08 pm

[2] administering finals or the game? ; )

4 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 4:26 pm

[3] The game -- watching CC hit. Just remember big fella, run station to station on the bases.

5 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jun 12, 2012 6:29 pm

Just tuned in. Saw two pitches. Is CC getting squeezed?

6 RIYank   ~  Jun 12, 2012 6:33 pm

Not really.
Might be a good night for hoops!

7 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jun 12, 2012 6:33 pm

OK. Spotting a three run lead isn't the end of the world. But it must end here.

[1] The Yanks needed you at the game to tip the vibe CC's way.

This could probably be going better

That Collins/Girardi Dunkin Donuts commercial is embarrassing to watch.

10 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jun 12, 2012 6:50 pm

What exactly is the "swinging strike" rule for a bunt attempt? It never seems consistant.

11 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jun 12, 2012 6:52 pm

Lonely...
Hoops doesn't start until 9PM, where is everyone?

12 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 12, 2012 6:56 pm

When Andruw Jones came up, the announcers said something like "Let's listen to the ovation".

Man... there was hardly a buzz. The announcers were absolutely quite, but it was still hard to hear any cheering.

CC should be AA, but he's been BB at best this year. Maybe even CC.
I hate these games that are an 'expected Win' on paper.

13 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 7:01 pm

Figures that we'd be completely stymied by the worst pitcher in baseball.

14 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 7:22 pm

Oi! Lead off double.

15 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 7:32 pm

Station to station, CC.

16 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 7:33 pm

Don't mind that out.

17 RIYank   ~  Jun 12, 2012 7:50 pm

A little good news:

"My surgery was a success, it went perfectly. I am looking forward to beginning my rehab soon. Thanks as always for your prayers. (hash)GodBless."

18 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:01 pm

This Minor chump won't throw a better game all year. Bollocks!

19 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:03 pm

Well, this game has been some kind of infuriating.

20 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:07 pm

[17] Excellent.

21 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:10 pm

The intentional walk for the sake of handedness matchups. Another Joe Girardi special.

22 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:14 pm

[21] How about a force at every base? Absolutely the correct move.

23 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:20 pm

[22] We're loading the bases to set up a force play in a three run game in the seventh inning?

24 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:24 pm

Life!

25 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:24 pm

rally time

26 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:27 pm

So either we hit a HR or nothing in these spots?

27 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:30 pm

Wow!

28 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:30 pm

WOO-HOO!

29 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:30 pm

FUCK YEAH!

30 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:31 pm

Fun way to tie Gehrig. : )

31 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:31 pm

Tied with Gehrig!

32 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:32 pm

Bit homers in the ATL seem to be a theme for the Yankees.

33 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:32 pm

*big homers

34 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:32 pm

boom! I thought Venters was supposed to be one of these unhittable relievers? :)

35 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:34 pm

[34] He was unhittable until he threw a strike.

36 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:35 pm

HOT FUCKING DAMN!

37 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:36 pm

And game untied.

38 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:36 pm

Yeahhhhhhhh!

39 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:36 pm

I approve.

40 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:38 pm

I'm awake. Are we all awake? Go BULLPEN! Gotta win this one now.

41 Chyll Will   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:39 pm

G'nite, everyone!

42 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:40 pm

Gameday says Jones was HBP..was that on purpose?

43 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:42 pm

[42] Hard to tell. It was his shoulder, not butt.

44 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:49 pm

Mets abusing Tampa. Good.

45 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:50 pm

Honestly, I think at this point Joe knows if Sori can pitch, Kay.

46 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:56 pm

Clay Rapada now has 18 ip this year. 2.1 ip away from his career high in 2008. He has spent 10 seasons of his life mostly in the minors. Glad to see him getting outs but I don't think he can sustain all year. But the who hell knows?

47 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 12, 2012 8:56 pm

Man, Rapada. Hard to believe. With Soriano seemingly not available the Yanks really feel like they'd steal one tonight with this bullpen.

48 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 9:01 pm

[46] I meant to say he is 2.1 ip away from his career Major League High.

49 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 9:10 pm

One down

50 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 9:13 pm

Two Down

51 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 12, 2012 9:15 pm

Hmmmmm......winning......

52 rbj   ~  Jun 12, 2012 9:16 pm

Yankees win!
Good night all. Will enjoy the write ups in the morning.

53 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 12, 2012 9:17 pm

Yay!
