"A New York Treasure" --Village Voice

Sweet Sixteen

Here’s out it’s gunna be: Yanks play three against the Blue Jays at the Stadium tomorrow night and then host the A’s for three over the weekend. Next week, they’ll play three in Minnie and four in Toronto before returning home to end the season with three against the Red Sox.

If the Yanks miss the playoffs, they’ll have nobody to blame but themselves.

We’ll be Keepin’ the Faith in the BX.

Think they can get a 10-6 out of that?

1) I don't see why not. I'm thinking more like 11-5.

[2] When the pessimists are thinking 10-6 and 11-5, what will the optimists think?

Meanwhile... the lowly Red Sox polished off the Rays. TB in now 2 game behind the Angels for the 2nd WC slot, and just 1/2 game ahead of Detroit. Basically, they are all but cooked.
