Took two minutes to browse that dude's Twitter timeline. Honestly can't tell if he was joking (he mentions that once) or sticking to his guns. Either way, I'll reserve judgment until someone legitimate goes there.
I seriously hope this is the first and last we hear about this.
If true though, I may need to just be thankful I live a mile from Wrigley Field, and learn how the other half lives this summer- where pitchers swing the bat, and the only thing the fans care about is whether the Old Style is cold.
When does the ballclub get notified of failed tests? I'd think that a) if this is true, and b) if the failed tests are in some appeal process now, and c) that the Yankees were notified, then d) the Yankees would not have offered a big contract to Cano, would they? Cashman came out and said they made an offer, so I'm leaning toward "I don't believe it".
It all depends on what you mean by rumor, doesn't it. The guy has some clout, so we got to assume he didn't fabricate the story. He's just "spreading the news." Could be gossip, the over-the-fence, heard-it-through-the-grapevine kind of hearsay driven rip. Or, it could be the truth. Just the thought of any of them being associated with juice upsets me.
As for Tex's wrist, the injury list will grow and grow. Granderson was an accident. Jeter's a break waiting to happen. CC will have some kind of a strain. Youk will feign some kind of tweaker, especially if he doesn't care about how the team will respond. Gardner will jam a wrist sliding into first. Sorry. Not sure I know who the other players will be. Oops, Ichiro's order of Kobi beef wont' be delivered on time.
The only good thing will be that the Sox don't look to do much better.
Wow. If this happens, it's curtains for us in '13.
And for Grandy, you can't count DL time toward the suspension, correct?
Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue

No big whoop. Rumor has it this will all be forgotten by the Jeter-Teixeira wedding in July.
Yeah, I usually won't repost a rumor like this but since Cult brought it up in the previous thread, and since it's a slow day, what the hell?

Time on the DL does count towards suspension. Even so, this would not be good news.
