What kind of gum did Kurt Bevacqua chew when he won the big league contest on tv around '75 (I remember watching it)? I have to think it was a Topps product since the episode got a card the following year. For nostalgic reasons give me that thin, dusty and brick hard gum that came with cards.

For taste and coolness reasons give me Bouton's Big League Chew -- shredded bubble gum in a pouch.

I'm pretty sure Topps owned Bazooka back then. I can't imagine Topps promoting a competitor (eg Fleer). BTW I remember the ridiculous bubble measurement scissor from the contest. Hilarious

I liked Bazooka. I couldn't blow a bubble so a lot of the qualities of those big bubble gums were lost on me. I just felt like a cow who couldn't blow a bubble. I probably chewed more baseball card gum than any other kind of gum in my lifetime.

3) That's some bubble. I think you could blow the biggest bubbles with Hubba Bubba but I didn't like how soft it's texture was. I also liked the slight tartness that the Bubbalicious and Bubble Yum had. Dude, remember Gator Gum? That had the face-pinching sourness at first and then the flavor went away within two minutes.

I loved gator gum! Wow - I hadn't thought of that in years. I wonder if Josh Wilker has reviewed that bubble card

i loved almost all gum as a kid. hubba bubba, bubble gum, big league chew, bazooka, the gum from blow pops. my jaw almost fell off. the second it ran out of flavor i would pop in a new piece or slab.
the bubble gum from cards tasted like cardboard. i usually liked the grape, strawberry, or original flavors.

Fruitstripe was fun too though that wasn't really bubble gum.

I didn't care what gum it was, I just liked to blow bubbles and occasionally snap it or stick it under my desk. Hubba Bubba and Bubblelicious were the best to blow bubbles with though. I even did the stance!

I wonder whether thelarmis has ever chewed a piece of gum.
