After two 2-1 loses in Queens, the Yanks and Mets head up to the Bronx for two more games.
It’s Dave Phelps and the hopes that the Yanks can win these next couple of games and not suck balls.

Never mind last night: Let’s Go Yank-ees!
if I don't survive seeing this lineup in person tonight, speak well of me
I've never been real passionate about the Mets as an opponent, but I'd like to see us score 10 tonight.
[1] If you do go, please help Robbie channel vintage Bobby Murcer c. 1972 for tomorrow, thanks... oh and Catfish for Nuno, too!
Well that's not a good start.
Two batters in and I am ready for the hockey game. Oi!
Oh jeez, of course!
Booooooooo!
[5] Just so you know, the Rangers fired Tortarella; don't know if that makes any difference to you or not, but being a non-hockey fan I was getting tired of hearing his name bandied about as much as a payola pop song...
[8] I was an Islanders fan as a kid so I grew up hating the Rangers. Now I'm down with Sabres even though they suck. But tonight like last night is a game 7 and that's
hard to beat. : )
No offense, but Buffalo sucks at life... Vincent Gallo makes a classic indie movie about the place and then follows it up with The Brown Bunny, four straight trips to the Super Bowl and nary a one they get. That's like being a bride and having your fiance run off with your four younger sisters one right after the other. Awesome wing sauce though and of course... >;)
[10] No offense taken. I'm 60 miles east. lol.... Agreed on the sauce but the Bills are not on my radar. And now, thanks to Chyll, My wife is singing shuffle off
to Buffalo. : )
[11] Could have been worse, JF; she could have gone on an imaginary rampage against Scott Norwood! Glad you folks chose the high road >;)
Definitely a forgettable game.
[11] I lived there for 2nd and part of 3rd grade. Kenmore. Tonawanda. That was the best house we ever lived in.
My dad had luxury box seats for the Bills at Rich Stadium. That's when OJ was in his prime (even thought the Bills sucked), and he was my hero.
I remember lots of school boy fights. Lots of snow. Street hockey. I don't think they had Buffalo wings back then.
Shut out's gone!
[14] Tonowanda. Always fun to say. It means 'land by the water." This game on the other hand, is a game by the suck.
[16] Really? Never knew that. I guess that's Lake Erie? Actually, I misspelled it. It's Tonawanda.
Lots of designations up there. Kenmore was the village. Tonawanda the township. All part of greater Buffalo, I think.
And, at the moment, it's all more interesting than this shit-ass game.
I'm blaming this game on the fact that there are soccer lines still on the field. Yankee Stadium should be a single use stadium. Baseball only.
[16][17] Never been to Buffalo, all my 'upstate' visits were to Corning/Binghamton area. Sisters went to Syracuse too...nice campus, not so nice town..
[19] You're not missing much. But that does't mean I am speaking ill of it. I have always had fun there. I am a snow junky as well, so that helps. It sure would be nice to win tomorrow and avoid a friggin' four game sweep at home to the mets. Bollocks!
By the way..seems to be in Hush Hush mode but is it possible Jeter is not coming back? I mean..almost 8 months now since he hurt his ankle..
[19][20] et al. Wife's from Buffalo...I love the place, despite how run down it is.
[21] He'll be back, but how effective, and for how long? But the good news for some around here is that if doesn't come back, we get even more Nuñez! Or is the blush off that rose?
