OK, better first inning.

2 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 6:34 pm

Wow, second deck.

3 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 6:41 pm

Not too bad.

4 Alex Belth   ~  May 30, 2013 7:02 pm

Nice rip, Robbie. And none too soon. The aggravation level is getting dire.

5 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 7:08 pm

Oh crap Yanks v. Sawx is on Fox Saturday & ESPN Sunday. Suddenly Kay isn't so bad.

6 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 30, 2013 7:21 pm

[5] Damn. And the Saturday fox game starts after 7. That could be a near midnight finish.

7 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 7:24 pm

[6] Just remembered I've got a Mud Hens game Saturday, so I get to miss Fox.

[5,6] Do Ma & Pa Sterling still do radio on those national broadcast games?

9 Alex Belth   ~  May 30, 2013 7:45 pm

8) Of course.

9) The offense has been painful tonight.

10 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 7:51 pm

[8] Dunno, I'm in Toledo so I don't get the radio feed. When Tigers are on Sunday night local ESPN radio had the game. But the station recently switched to CBS so I don't know.

I'm not watching anymore tonight for a variety of reasons, but Gardner's inability to advance to 3rd in the first inning - for a variety of reasons, and in a variety of ways - was truly a remarkable thing to behold. Good Lord.

12 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 7:54 pm

Really would hate to waste a good start.

13 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 30, 2013 7:56 pm

[9] Thanks. The fact I would hang with Ma&Pa by choice shows how horrid those ESPN guys are. I still can't shake the memory of Buster Olney 'interviewing' John Kruk...yikes..

[13] I've pretty much opted for the "run silent run deep" approach this season: watching/listening to virtually no games on TV/radio and following only occasionally on gameday, instead reading box scores the next day. It's amazing what this has done for my demeanour.

The good news, Kelley has been remarkable. I guess pitching in Seattle is like being trapped in the closet.

16 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:05 pm

[13] My demeanor has improved too, but more about an update in meds.

17 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 8:06 pm

Cy Gee. Yeesh.

18 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:07 pm

Is it me, or does anybody else log on and see a format that is totally different on the threads?

19 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 30, 2013 8:13 pm

[14] I7ve always pictured you as a Dr. David Banner 'you wouldn't like me when I'm angry about the Yankees' type guy. :) But seriously, watching the MLB.com highlights and listening to only select podcasts really makes being a fan more fun. I cannot imagine having to sit through a Chris Berman-hosted highlights show every again!

[18] Once in a blue moon. I would wager the Mets will go back to sucking tomorrow. Damn this series.

21 Boatzilla   ~  May 30, 2013 8:18 pm

Oh, Christ, it's mix 'n' match time. Why, oh why, oh why take Kelly out?

22 Boatzilla   ~  May 30, 2013 8:19 pm

[18] Happens to me every now and then. Sometimes it gets stuck for awhile. I usually just reload or leave the sight and return.

23 Boatzilla   ~  May 30, 2013 8:21 pm

I guess that's why.

24 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 8:22 pm

Ah, chess!

25 Boatzilla   ~  May 30, 2013 8:25 pm

"Seriously, dude. Don't ever shush me."

26 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:26 pm

Off topic. But my son just told me that they have tentatively found Ameiia Earhart's plane sunk off a reef in 600 feet of water. That would end a mystery that has outlived the majority of all who were around then.

27 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 30, 2013 8:28 pm

Well fuck a duck.

28 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:30 pm

Can't blame Joba on that, Romine should have caught that pitch.

29 Boatzilla   ~  May 30, 2013 8:30 pm

[27] And the horse he road in on.

30 Boatzilla   ~  May 30, 2013 8:31 pm

[29] Ooops. Make that "rode."

31 rbj   ~  May 30, 2013 8:33 pm

[26] Saw that story. Very cool.

32 Alex Belth   ~  May 30, 2013 8:34 pm

HOW is that a fucking strike?

33 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:37 pm

What kind of voodoo is this? Yankees have been getting by on smoke and mirrors, but the Mets are terrible. Nice of the Yanks to cheer up the Mets fan base.

34 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:49 pm

What would have Boss Steinbrenner said and done after this week?

35 Boatzilla   ~  May 30, 2013 8:49 pm

Well, we've got the "real" line-up coming up for last licks. These guys will be with us in October. Let's go YanKees!

36 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:54 pm

Met fans vocalizing at the stadium, and rightfully so.

37 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 30, 2013 8:56 pm

At least no one got killed in the process.

38 Alex Belth   ~  May 30, 2013 8:56 pm

Fuck.

39 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:57 pm

Yankee clubhouse should be a surreal place in a few minutes. Well, maybe this will light a fire for the Red Sox series.

40 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 30, 2013 8:58 pm

[38] I always respect your prose.
