Kvetch, kvetch, kvetch. Phil Hughes did not pitch well. Again. Got behind hitters and when he had to throw a strike they hit it hard; got ahead of hitters and couldn’t put them away. What we’ve come to expect from Hughes. Chris Capuano, on the other hand, throws slop but knows what he’s doing, showed good control and mastered the Yankee hitters as the Dodgers won an uneventful game, 6-0.
The one guy that is an event–Mr. Puig–stole a base, had a couple of hits including a homer, scored 3 times and made it easy to understand what all the fuss is about.

I saw this live. Yay.
I really can't wait for the Hughes-Chamberlain era to finally fucking end

Wherever things go from here with Puig, I can't help but admire a player who has a bunt base hit and an opposite field HR in the same game. Not to mention a SB after a HBP; icing on the cake.
Phil Hughes is not a good pitcher. The Yankees lineup is a trip.
So after Tuesday's washout, I was psyched to get a message from the maestro around here that the Yanks were on UPN 9. Network tv. A must see for the cable impaired such as I'm.
I was psyched.
I was pumped.
I got the kids to bed and settled into my familiar spot on the couch.
I turned on the game, saw Hughes was pitching... and I tried. I mean, I really tried. The score was still close, Yanks down 3. But I just couldn't watch Hughes pitch. I don't know if I was frustrated because that implies too much passion. I was disinterested I think. What a lug. Watching him is like being in a time-suck. No future, no past, no passion. I don't even want to look at him.
I saw Puig get plunked and I just turned the game off. I wished the rest of the team well and did some framing in the basement.
I wish the guy well, as a human being... but man, get off my tv!
Holy cow Phil Hughes sucks. Dump him for Nuno.
