The Yanks have won the first two games against the Twins with two left. A series win is in order. If they leave town with a split it’ll be a bummer.
The good news is that C.C. is on the hill.
Brett Gardner CF
Ichiro Suzuki RF
Robinson Cano 2B
Travis Hafner DH
Zoilo Almonte LF
Lyle Overbay 1B
Chris Stewart C
Luis Cruz SS
David Adams 3B
Never mind the fireworks:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!
Good take on Alex and the Yanks:

Line drive to left for Nune-5
Grounder to first 3-1 for Alex, on the first pitch.
Now Alex grounds to second. But he did turn a 5-4-3 DP.
Alex, I realize that you are an ARod fan but Deadspin is on the record favoring turning a blind eye to PED's. Perhaps it's my age but I have hated this era and its augments. ARod was a fine player and a hard worker. He loves to play baseball. It is sad that he has ruined his legacy. I hope he can live without the game. As far as the money goes, that is for the lawyers.
I'm not sure he can live without baseball. I hear your feelings though. Alex did it to himself. Lots of other guys got away with it and that's for them privately to deal with. Alex is too egotistical, too desperate and too rich to have learned to live well enough alone. He's suffered from some unfair criticism in his time but he's 100 percent responsible for his actions and he's done nothing to help himself. I've enjoyed rooting for him but he's a putzy guy.
Last December at the Art Basil/Miami event my daughter received an invitation to the home of Alexander Rodriguez to view his art collection. Somehow it seemed a little sad.
A regular Jay Gatsby. Man, would I ever be curious to have seen what art he bought.
Let's get CC #200.
nerts.
Nunez called, he wants his throw back.
Luis Cruz had a .145 OBP in 45 games with the Dodgers. .145! What does it say about the Yankees organization that they have no one to call up better than this?
[11] Somehow it's A-Rod's fault?
Yankees are being one hit.
Bah!
Brett should have caught that one.
2-0 feels like 20-0 tonight.
Here's an idea, how about some runs?
Tie it up, Robbie!
2nd & 3rd no outs, Robbie up? Why am I not optimistic?
Word!
Robbie!!
One more run in and CC is eligible for the W.
There it is! Thanks Lyle.
If Robbie was ever on Dancing with the Stars he'd clean up. lol... Not that I've ever watched the show.
Oh great, another URP tomorrow.
[24] Of course not..I never watched Desperate Housewives either when Mrs. Jazz had it on.. Robbie is awesome though. outside chance at 80+ XBH this year.
Is Mo available tonight?
Shite! Good catch.
27) I sure imagine so.
i'm sooo fuggin' sick of the shit sox winning on walkoffs at the fens. i freakin' hate that ugly ass stadium.
(and, yes, i've *always* hated that stadium. i don't understand the charm and can't stand the stoopid monstah...)
Good work, Mr. Robertson.
Very nice.
30) have you ever been there?
[32] just the outside of it. i played at "mama kin's" - aerosmith's old venue, across the street. walked around the contour of the park. haven't been inside. but going on everything i've seen on tv, i've just never liked it. ever.
our new stadium gets shit on for the short porch, but boston has a little league bandbox great for homers and extra base hits...
I saw the the Twins gave Mo a rocking chair last night. I didn't realize until today that it was made of broken bats. That's great gift.
Clete Thomas: Fastball over the plate, called strike. Cutter, just inside. Another cutter, inside again, but damn close. Hello, Blue? Cutter, outside, low but called strike 2. Cutter outside, up and outside, Thomas checks but holds up. Same pitch, a little more plate, fouled back. Still, 3-2. The cutter back inside, Thomas almost tries to inside out it, hits a three-hopper to short.
One out.
Dammit! Missed it by a hair.
Chris Parmelee, left-handed pinch hitter: Cutter over the plate, swung on and missed, 0-1. Cutter, inside, 1-1. They show a graphic on TV. Parmalee is 3-21 in his career as a pinch-hitter. So he fists the next ball into right. A short blooper, broken bat, just beyond Cano's reach. Single.
Eduardo Escobar, pinch runs.
Brian Dozier, righty: Cutter, swung on and missed. Cutter, tailing away, fouled off. Ump calls it off Dozier's foot. Then he chases the high heat, strike three.
Two out.
Gas face. Mo vs. Mauer.
All Rise. Praise be to Mo.
Joe Mauer (3-9 in his career vs. Mo): Cutter, inside, 1-0. Cutter, more outside, Mauer takes a huge cut and swings through it. That pitch got too much plate. 1-1. Cutter in on his hand, pops him up to Cruz at short.
All Praise Mo.
33) I was there once. In 1999. Thought it was pretty interesting inside.
congrats CC!!!
GO MO!!!
[42] it was your boy Gomes who had the pinch hit walk off.
Yo Alex, I love you man but 2 consecutive A Serious Man references?
Can we expect to see Fyvush Finkel tomorrow?
45) It was three. And it's going to span the rest of the serious in Minnie. lol
