Six straight wins, now three straight losses.
Here’s hoping Ivan Nova can–well, hell, here’s hoping the Yanks score some runs.
1. Gardner CF
2. Suzuki RF
3. Cano 2B
4. Hafner DH
5. Almonte LF
6. Overbay 1B
7. Nunez SS
8. Cruz 3B
9. Stewart C
Never mind the heat:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!
This lineup is Jaywalkers Row.
Great picture
I'm hoping some offense shows up in the form of exchange for Hughes and/or Chamberlain. Who is available in the way of 1B/3B, OF, DH?
And anyone heard an update on Cervelli?
Last update was that he was shut down for a couple of weeks to avoid a stress fracture in his throwing elbow.
Think he's scheduled to start throwing again after the AS break, if he's healthy ...
Wow that guy has a hard time not getting hurt. Thanks.
The over under is 1.5 runs scored by the Yankees tonight. I'm going under.
Here we go. The floodgates are going to open.
Second & third, one out, I'm notoptomistic.
There's our run!
Oh, for the love of fucking Mo!
Ichiro obviously should have done this.

[11] That is awesome.
[12] It immediately "sprang" to mind when Ichiro got completely blocked at the plate.
PHEW.
ROBBIE GO BOOM!
Break out the Champagne. Good on ya Robbie!
Honestly, with this lineup, why would you ever throw him a strike?
And on cue, Hafner whiffs feebly ...
Hey what's that funny looking thing next to "Yankees"? It's not a 1 or a 0
C'mon, Ivan. One more out!
Come on Nova.
Ivan with the wiggle job!
Robbie with the wheels!
It's been a busy summer doing, what?, and I miss the Banter. Are we back with Nova especially with Hughes on the block? As said earlier by Cult, with the Yankees a little shy on hitting, why would any team pitch to him with men on base with an open base?
Yankees still have a chance with their pitching this year, I think the series in Boston after the AS break will tell the tale. Hughes for a hitter sounds about right to me, it's his walk year anyway.
Lyle with a grand salami!
Also, that's quite an image above. Donald Duck sniffing glue? Lyle launches!
Seriously, that was a WTF? homerun ...
Honestly, what was the upside to leaving Davis in at that point?
[25] Overbay went grand-salami boomboom bye-bye? Wow.
[26] KC is emotionally incapable of taking three in a row from the Yankees.
[22] Him meaning Cano, dang.
Ye-ouch. Shins are no fun.
Ow.
O-no! Gardner plunked on the leg. His shin (ouch), but not his foot, ankle or knee.
With Nova & Phelps, it's Phil Who's
For Nova, it must be the braces giving him confidence and focus. I've been a supporter of him from the very beginning, but he lost me in the weeds. His stuff and presence is too good to give up on.
Goodamn it, Robbie. Although if I hit the ball so hard and so far so often I might Cadillac at times, too.
Oh Robbie, good thing we're up 8-0 ...
Oh Robinson! I think he was safe anyway, as he eluded the tag, but he deserves to be out.
Vern!
[34] I'm with you on Nova. He's got amazing stuff.
Jeez, Nova is a big one. He makes Cano look average size when next to him. Good two games from him. If this team could average just one more run per game they would be in first place. There can be no complaints looking at the entire season so far with both the starting pitching and the BP.
Oh great two guys down with bruises. Do the Yankees even have a bench at this point?
C'mon Jobber, your suitors are a watchin'!
Yankees win
Just a little win can turn the outlook favorable. Now lets hope Seattle can steal one from the Sox. The O's are winning tonight.
[0] Is that a still from a real cartoon, Alex? Hilarious.
I remember seeing one where Woody Woodpecker smokes from a hookah, turns green and starts floating around the room.
[45] And, Betty Boop was just about jumping out of her dress under the influence of laughing gas and dosing the entire city.
