It's crazy that Bryce's back foot is off the ground when he makes contact with the ball. Some national game showed a bunch of slow mos and then a clip of Roberto Clemente doing the same thing. Quite an approach.

I can't remember why Chris Davis didn't sign with the NYY when he was first drafted. Not a high enough round? Wanted to play JuCo first?

I can't get upset about missing Darvish. They reasonably worried that he was going to be Daisuke. And A-Jax isn't very good, so that doesn't bother me either. Same with Jesus. Mark Melancon is a decent relief pitcher but not in the same class as D-Rob or Claiborne.

I do wish they had raided the piggy bank for Cespedes. Goddam A-Rod.
