Be back for the ballgame tonight.

Tremendous year for peaches.

My mom-in-law made up this dessert on the fly last month and I recommend it:

Cut up a bunch of peaches
Pit and halve a bunch of cherries
Crumble ginger cookies on top

Probably many variations there. Vanilla ice cream would certainly go. But it was the cookie crumbs that made it pop.

That sounds great. In case you've never had Japanese peach (hakutou) - highly recommended.

with all the recipes for peaches in the last weeks, maybe it's time to add a new section to the blog :)

I still like to cut up semi-ripe peaches into my rice krispies. But [2] does sound great

If you take a ripe peach and put it in the fridge in the morning...

then after dinner that night, take it out and throw it in boiling water for about 1-2 minutes. The skin peels right off and the outer 1/4 inch is all warm and the inside is still fridge cold. Frigging awesome.

Sox-Yanks!
This means I'll be watching NESN. But, uh... not Jerry Remy, I'm thinking. Ugh.
