I always thought he would wind up a manager. He was always calm and articulate in interviews - very intellectual. Good for him. And thanks again for the dinger against Pedro.

I remember him as the guy who in the 2004 ALCS Game 5 against the Sox that hit a ground rule double in the top of the 9th with 2 outs. So Ruben Sierra had to stop at 3rd instead of scoring the go ahead run. History would have been pretty different if the ball bounced a little lower.
