Let’s Go Yank-ees!
Watching a Grateful Dead concert from 1980, at Radio City Music Hall, on PBS NJTV, on until 11...
Kuroda command off
Is everyone watching the Dead? Yanks down 2-0 in 2nd.
2-out rally!
[3] Nope! I would never voluntarily watch the Dead : )
Just got home. Have the game on now. Will watch intermittently.
[5] I was about to rename this "The Ghost Thread."
[5] You're a serious musician, that's some bullshit!
I'd never volunteer to watch the Greatful Dead, but I wouldn't be so shallow or bigoted as to dismiss them out of hand before giving anything they did a good, honest, specific listen ...
good ol' oakland coliseum - bank of lights goes out and causes a delay.
[7] Eh, sorry about the swearing, in the middle of a rather contentious argument on another website ...
[7] This concert was a test of their use of acoustic guitars. A couple of my kids really loved them in early 90's. I found out how 2 of my teenage sons were great singers when they sang "Ripple" at a high school talent show around 1991. Later on they migrated to Phish.
[[9] Truly, it is *my* bad ...
[10] And?
There's no way I'm sitting through a lighting problem delay at this hour. Good night, you two.
well, just checking in. I've been watching on and off while brewing beer and such. Seems like we need to get something going at the plate.
[7] I'm a serious musician - exactly why i "dismiss" them! : )
then again, i never used the word dismiss...
i've seen them live, have a few discs, met mickey hart, etc. i've absolutely given them lots and lots and lots of good, honest, critical listens.
i can stomach some of it. actually even like a few tunes. i'm certainly not being "shallow" or, especially, "bigoted" - those are some pretty strong words, cult.
i just don't dig 'em.
[9] acha.
[11] cool. i was about to text you!
[15] i wrote that before seeing your replies...
[10] the acoustic stuff is pretty cool. my pop likes it; he sings and plays some of it, too.
ripple is a pretty cool tune. phish are phucking *awesome*! i'm a phan!!! : )
[13] huh. i thought they said 10 minutes. but, yeah, looks like it'll be an hour. if so, we might not have Hiro continue, but that should also mean no Kaz. we'll need strong middle relief so we don't kill the pen...
[14] brewing beer? do tell!!!
i'm drinkin' an Anderson Valley Spring Hornin' spring seasonal IPA. 6.8%
[13] i'm gonna start hanging more artwork downstairs here at the new house. luckily, both tv's are down here, so i'll be around when the game resumes.
[14] Slainthe Mhath, seamus!
[9] baseball think factory?
[18] cult - i think we spoke of the Boont Amber Ale before, no? you were drinkin' it the other year, right?! i think we emailed about it and i looked it up. could be a few years ago...
good stuff.
GAME ON!!!
siddown!
my captain is gonna tie the game now!
goddamn it.
FUCK!
shoulda swung at the first pitch. it was right down
peachtreebroadway.bollocks.
SLOPPY!
about to be 4-1. we're done...
[6] talk about a ghost thread.
jeesh...
sloppier.
there's the 4-1...
oi folks. i'm back!
unfortunately, the yankees have really faltered.
[18] I love anderson valley!! Was brewing an ipa with my girlfriend. So we were watching while things boiled and such but obviously not on the blog. Not our own recipe btw. but we're going to delve back into that territory shortly.
[30] this is what we made tonight. http://www.homebrewing.org/Brewers-Best-Hop-Nog-2013_p_3154.html
nice! phew. ok, let's do something team! Really, there is still plenty of time. I know our hitting kinda sucks though.
I totally missed that we acquired Huff. Busy week I guess.
ugh. I may have to go back to watching the bridge. Where is that confounded bridge?
[30] seamus!dude. sooo cool about the brew. and i love honest abe. doesn't matter whose recipe it is. mostly, i'm happy you've got the girl! i remember how it was...for both of us.
huff? aubrey?! i know we signed heath bell. i sure hope we never see him in pinstripes...
[34] i played Ramble On, Hey Hey What Can I Do, and Good Times Bad Times on a gig last night.
and the O.co PA just played Rush's Tom Sawyer!
when did he become farnsworth's little brother?
[34] haha, yeah I am so glad that you found a fine lady as well! Exciting days!
[35] very nice!
I think i'm going to go watch the bridge though. This just feels like it's a lost cause tonight. i'll check back in a bit later. Lots of game left.
