After a weak showing by the offense this weekend I’ve got a bad feeling about this series in Toronto.
Sure do hope I’m wrong.

Now one run in 19 innings.
Le sigh.
Jesus.
OK, not so bad.
They're just beating the ball all over the place.
One line drive after another.
Hm.
Chase Whitley: too good to be true.
Hoooooo boy.
Ruh roh.
Blergh
My God.
Talk about playing pepper.
Oh jeez.
And that's your ballgame, folks.
Ah.
Well, now I can go do something else this evening.
Of course.
Yankees have scored one run in 20 innings and given up 15 in 11. That's not gonna win you ballgames.
Mark! A second run in 21 innings.
Let's just pretend this night never happened.
Wouldn't it have been fun to have Bronx Banter in 1998?
[19] Starting out 1-3 with concrete falling from The Stadium, I was grumbling. First year with the MLB package. Thought it was a waste.
[20] I recall they had a bad first 2 weeks, then went on a tear for the next 5 1/2 months. Happy times!
[20][21] I wish too! I had just arrived in Japan six months earlier, baseball in the mornings then J-language recap shows on TV at night were a poor substitute.
I have been switching between this game and CSPAN live coverage of House Committee hearing with IRS Commissioner testifying. Much more fun...
I just noticed Huff wearing glasses. I don't remember seeing that before.
[21] And it wasn't a dramatic 35-5 like the '84 Tigers. Just nice 6, 7, 10 game winning streaks and suddenly it's an historic season.
Only good thing about this game is that Stroman is from Patchogue!
Good job Huff. Night all.
So-LART-e!
