I like this David Phelps. He’s not a great pitcher but he’s a competitor. He’ll need to be on point tonight against the formidable Yu Darvish. And the Yanks need him to pitch deep into the game after the bullpen worked overtime last night.
Brett Gardner LF
Derek Jeter SS
Jacoby Ellsbury CF
Carlos Beltran DH
Brian McCann 1B
Chase Headley 3B
Ichiro Suzuki RF
Francisco Cervelli C
Brendan Ryan 2B
Never mind the heat index:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!
[0] A competitor maybe, but more importantly, is he a battler? Does he know how to win? Does he want it more than the other guy?
[1] Is the Will to Win a ratio or a rate?
I want a game done by Cone, O'Neill, and the Scooter. Discuss. : )
[3] I'd prefer Singleton, Cone and Flaherty
I like Flaherty. Just a tad too dry for me.
Dang, another balk!
Gritner!
Yee-hay. Atta boy, Liil'l G!
[2] It's a ratio, bur remember to adjust for How Much He Makes Others Around Him Better.
Official game! Probably for the best. Get to start summer vacation tomorrow with a 600 mile drive
