It’s the big fella, Pineda. Yo, we haven’t talked about it much but the one thing that stands out to me about Pineda is his swagger. He’s got great stuff, clearly, and some attitude to back it up. Yanks haven’t had a cocky dude like him as a starter for awhile.
The boys need him to be on today. Ellsbury’s out of the line-up.
Brett Gardner CF
Derek Jeter SS
Carlos Beltran DH
Mark Teixeira 1B
Brian McCann C
Martin Prado LF
Stephen Drew 2B
Chase Headley 3B

Stop doing that Pillar.
Just saw on MLB network that V-Mart just hit a 3-run HR off Sox' Chris Sale, in first inning. Scherzer ipitching for Tigers.
Oh, excellent play.
On turf.
Man, there is nobody in the AL with an OBP over .400?? Or was that just the AL East?
Ahhhhhhh.
Yeah, that's the danger of Pineda vs Bautista.
Bautista will do that.
Yipe. Almost another one.
I think it's fair to say this will not be Pineda's best game.
Oh come on.
Yeesh.
Nothing like one of these games to remind us that the Yankees aren't actually good.
A hit please? Or a base runner?
Yeah, it's going to be hard to hit a three-run homer if nobody gets on base.
Yay!!!
This is the way the Perfect Game ends
Not with a bang, but with a whimper.
Just in time for Tex to tie the game
Bah! I thought Beltran would score fo sho!
Well there ya go
Geez, is Beltran that slow? That looked like a hit that most guys would score from first on. Especially with two outs.
Have to settle
A hit, please, Martin.
Nope.
F.A.I.L.
Oh goody, a 2 out baserunner.
This is not good.
Slider, Kelley, slider!
Sláinte! Now score some friggin' runs!
Very nice.
On the off chance we win this game, Kelley gets a TotH.
So the Jays offense sucks too.
Sigh.
Maybe they could switch the cameras around to show the Air Show?
[28] There's tennis.
Utterly pathetic.
Damn.
That was a fairly pathetic attempt. (The whole game, I mean.)
One hit! Pathetic!! Its A-rods fault!!!
[32] Of course. And that means it's Cashman's fault. This team is not designed to score runs. He made that strategy very clear by his approach to negotiations with, uh...how can I say this without pissing everyone off....the best 2nd baseman the Yankees have EVER developed.
Then he worked like mad all year and made all these marvelous moves to patch together a crippled pitching staff, but it still doesn't add up to victory without Cano in the line up. And it never will.
Give us the original opening day staff with fully healthy Tanaka and we would still be fighting for the wild card with this line up.
