My family used to listen to the Talking Heads all the time, and I grew up on their music. It has so many memories for me, and they are just a really fun band.

I remember vividly seeing Stop Making Sense in the city when I was 16, and it blew my mind. It was amazing, and I loved every minute of it. I have it on DVD now, and would love to watch it again, but I will need to wait until the kids are out, so I can blast it.

Nice find Alex. I wont tickets to see David Byrne with St. Vincent last year. Actually maybe the year before. But in the end, since I never saw Talking Heads, it was as close as I'd ever get and it was a blast!

[2]I remember walking past all the posters for that concert on my way to work in Brooklyn. I wouldn't be surprised if some are still there >;)

And don't forget, it all started in RI...

[4] They formed the band at RISD, right RI?
Love the Talking Heads. Life During Wartime is one of my favorites. Got a chance to see David Byrne about 4 or 5 years ago at a relatively small venue in Portland. It was a great show.

I think it was 1980...B-52s opening for the Talking Heads at the Greek Theater in LA. One of the best concerts I have ever experienced. That's saying a lot, I've been to over 1000.

[5] Correct. It's a RISD alum band.
(It all happened years before I arrived in RI, but still, I like to remind people.)

[10] You're like the Zelig of the Banter, RI. :)

I count on you, Mr OK, to photoshop a picture of me with Tina Weymouth. (Who I used to have a crush on.)

Commenting from Rio de Janeiro, by the way. About to head out for some music. (My first time in Brazil -- I may never leave!)
