Million Dollar Movie

MCDHOAN EC109

John Boorman is a fabulously hit-or-miss director but when he’s on, he’s wonderful. I have hopes for his new movie, especially because it’s a continuation of the story he began in Hope & Glory, a beautiful, unpretentious film.

If you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favor.

HOPE AND GLORY is one of the best films of the 1980s. Looking forward to this one very much. I'd say Boorman has hit more than he's missed, its just that his misses are kind of notorious (EXORCIST II, ZARDOZ).
Big fan of POINT BLANK, THE GENERAL, DELIVERANCE and THE TAILOR OF PANAMA.

I love that movie. The General was pretty good, too.

Don't diss Zardoz. It's an incredible document of '70s weirdness.

I haven't seen it in a long time, either. Time to watch it again.
