Let’s raise a a glass to C.C. Sabathia and his pursuit of morphing into some kind of Hot Buttered Soul Junk Pitcher in the second part of his career. If he’s 3/4 of what Andy was as an older pitcher he’ll build a nice case for the Hall of Fame. If his body doesn’t cooperate I guess it could get ugly fast and be over quick. Either way, I’m pullin’ for the big fella.
Jacoby Ellsbury CF
Alex Rodriguez DH
Carlos Beltran RF
Mark Teixeira 1B
Chase Headley 3B
Chris Young LF
John Ryan Murphy C
Gregorio Petit 2B
Didi Gregorius SS
LHP CC Sabathia
This is one raggedy-ass lineup, man. A Rod’s in the 2 hole.
Never mind the Scubbineez:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Alex in the two-hole. I think I like that.
Twins finally got a run today after two shut outs. Took them 25 innings and it's unearned. Astros have 36 strikeouts in 3 games. Nice to know the Yankees won't have the worst offense this year.
Nice K.
[2] Ouch.
Good first inning for CC.
The word for today, boys and girls, is "propitious".
That was a very propitious start for the Big Fella.
Arod, Carlos totally fooled
Ruh roh.
Oh, for fuck's sake!
sigh
Will CC make it out of the 2nd?
Is horse shit an antonym for propitious?
[12] It is now.
Four runs.
God.
That looks like four hundred runs.
Wait till the 8th inning!
Do we care about this Daniel "Aw Shucks" Morris?
Norris
Norris, whatever.
Do we care about his relationship to his van?
Surfer dude
(18) He's 'quirky'. In Cro-Magnon Conservative baseball world that's a story.
This lineup with Chris Young and John Murphy..no chance against this guy.
Too close to challenge.
[20] laughing
Indeed.
Yawn..game 3 and I'm bored. Oh well, off to see Kenny Garrett tonight so some jazz will replenish the spirit, get me ready for the BoSox series.
[23] Cheers!
Oh great, tornado sirens are going off.
Come on, Yankees, come on!
Nice, Let's go!
(24) not yet, only 9am here. Long day ahead at ACME Investigations! Gameday is so handy for work hours :)
Ok, they're off.
One of the joys of springtime in the Midwest.
Atta boy, Chase.
Not a single fucking run.
Tough to win games that way.
Of course, 2nd & 3rd no outs is not a scoring opportunity for these Yankees.
A run!
Didi and the baserunning, not so much, huh?
Jesus fucking Christ. Send him to SWB. After this inning. Bollocks!
Not one of the Didi scouting reports mentioned his bad base-running.
Naturally.
I CAN'T FUCKING BEAR THIS SHIT!!!
AAAAAAAHHHHH!!
Oh Jeezus! Can anyone here play the game?
Ugly.
That's nice.
Way to go, Alex.
That was some pretty good bat speed. That was a really nice stroke.
Nice shot, Teix.
An A-bomb!
Mark too!
Spook the dude!
X2. yes!
Teix is strong. He seems to rely more on muscle than mechanics.
Slugger Murphy!
J.R.!
For the love of Mo. Get these runs in!
That was very nice hitting.
He stayed back so nicely there.
Cash these in, please...
Fuck.
Stephen Drew!
This Travis reminds me of Damon, spoiling pitches.
We're going to win this game.
I can feel it.
Stand on that bag, Didi.
High cheese.
Alex getting tied up.
sigh
Beltran just blown away.
Dang, Osuna looks good.
Nice play by Beltran.
[61] He does.
Fuck.
That thing got out of here in a hurry.
Damn it.
Nice play by Didi.
Rally inning coming up
Now the there's the nice glove amd arm from Didi.
Le sigh.
i made that wild pitch happen.
now, for my 5-run homerun trick...
i didn't make the strikeout happen, since apparently that took place before my mlb.tv feed...
David Cone the Eternal Optimist
No drama 9th inning. Better luck tomorrow, game on PIX channel 11.
It sucked but it was fast.
[71] You mean about "when the offense comes around?"
I know.
[74] I was referring to his overly positive review of CC's performance.
