Off to grandson wood bat game.

Nice pick by John Ryan.

11 mhoward120   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:07 pm

I'd kill myself if I had Rays season tix and had to listen to those freakin annoying kids on the PA

12 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:12 pm

[11] Yup.

13 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:33 pm

a buddy of mine who was a lifelong braves fan has abandoned them with the highly contentious move to the suburbs. for some odd reason, he's adopted the devil fishes as his new team. on one hand, i understand him being pissed at the bravos but on the other, i have difficulty with fickle fans going all out on a new team. and, if he's gonna go to florida for fish, why not pick the Marlins who are division rivals of his newly hated bravos?

tampon has a shitty stadium and non-existent fanbase. plus, they lost pretty much everyone, save for Longo...

14 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:38 pm

with #35 on the mound, Flash and Singleton are talking about Mussina.

I miss Mikey Moose. should be a HOFer!

15 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:41 pm

They're afraid of Alex!

16 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:42 pm

19 mhoward120   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:46 pm

I know it's only the Rays but theYanks are finally starting to play the way God intended them to play.

20 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:48 pm

[19] I'm definitely enjoying it more.
I feel like it has something to do with Passover. God's intentions, I mean.

21 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:49 pm

[13] When the Giants and Jets abandoned the city, my family stopped rooting for them. Never really adopted an alternative team, though.

22 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:51 pm

drew fouling off a thousand pitches...

23 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:53 pm

good a-b by drew.

[20] remember when i had my own pesach last week when i had everyone leaning to the right? that was fun.

[21] yeah, he's acting like the biggest Rays fan on the planet. i find it to be fake, shallow, and annoying.

24 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 1:54 pm

Heh, the shift took away the double play.

25 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:00 pm

J.R. foolishly chased the high heat. feh.

26 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:05 pm

[23] Oh yeah! I didn't understand that you were... celebrating. -Wherefore is this font different from our usual font?

32 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:24 pm

Big Mike's afternoon is over.

37 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:33 pm

I like Pineda a lot a, in the dome with no rain. I don't miss Asshole Joe Maddon. He had half a brain.

38 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:35 pm

reliever hits the first batter he faces.

it's not what you want.

39 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:37 pm

Strike three!

40 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:38 pm

41 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:49 pm

shift creates a hit!

42 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:49 pm

Garret Jones!

43 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:52 pm

normally i'd be excited to have the bases loaded.

44 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:54 pm

45 mhoward120   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:55 pm

Doody Godawfulous strikes (out) again !

46 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:55 pm

47 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:55 pm

it's like we're an NL team with a pitcher in the 9-hole. i fucking hate it. this kid cannot hit a baseball. : /

48 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:56 pm

(yes, i realize sir dodo has two hits today. sometimes, even pitchers get lucky.)

49 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 2:59 pm

I have not yet climbed aboard the Didi Wagon.

50 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:00 pm

he beat the shift outta that.

51 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:01 pm

something tells me these are going to be 9 tough outs.

52 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:02 pm

Even without Maddon it's a chess game.

53 mhoward120   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:03 pm

Anyone remember the Cajun chef, Justin Wilson. He was a riot - I garontee it dat

54 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:05 pm

He was on my chef fantasy team.

55 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:07 pm

Hm!
So Betances and Miller will get eight outs between them?

56 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:07 pm

57 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:08 pm

60 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:09 pm

the online mlb.tv feed is a few pitches ahead of the mlb.tv roku on the tube.

61 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:09 pm

Dellin, Dellin, the strikeout machine!

Man, that pitch is just unhittable. (Especially when it goes to the backstop, I guess.)

62 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:10 pm

Phew!

63 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:10 pm

hey, we get out of it unscathed!

64 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:10 pm

Nice.
Well, that particular out was an easy one!

65 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:10 pm

dodo was positioned perfectly.

66 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:15 pm

i would like brett to go yard right now.

67 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:18 pm

let's keep 'em off the board, dellin.

68 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:20 pm

71 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:26 pm

BAM.
Excellent work, Dellin.

72 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:27 pm

I think he's only thrown three fastballs. Two to Jennings and that one to Dykstra that he fouled off.

73 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:28 pm

off to the 9th!

74 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:28 pm

Ahhh.
So he got Guyer with a fastball.

Interesting.

75 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:28 pm

[72] they were all 95-96 mph.

76 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:29 pm

22 pitches, 5 outs, no runs.

i'll take it!

77 mhoward120   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:30 pm

I think Tanaka watches Housewives because that show is probably better if you don't understand the language.

78 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:33 pm

Sigh, no insurance.

79 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:34 pm

it's Miller Time

80 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:34 pm

81 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:35 pm

83 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:37 pm

Hm.
Shoulda had a Michelob.

84 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:38 pm

definitely not what you want.

85 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:39 pm

86 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:39 pm

2 K's!

90 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:42 pm

[86] Well, but good beer can't really be used in a "Miller Time" metaphorical replacement, if you see what I mean.
I stuck to Sam Adams last night. Spent it in Boston, so.

91 mhoward120   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:43 pm

(81) Apologize, rbj

92 RIYank   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:44 pm

94 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:44 pm

95 rbj   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:44 pm

Three down. Three strikeouts!

96 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:45 pm

[91] i think RI meant me, 'coz we posted the same thing. me first! : )

97 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:45 pm

You know, the Yankees are quietly 5-2 over their last seven games.

98 mhoward120   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:45 pm

Bring on Meredith's Massive Marakotits

99 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:45 pm

Miller = 3 K's, 4th save, 500th strikeout (career, RI, not today!)

he did get about 3 nice calls...

100 thelarmis   ~  Apr 19, 2015 3:46 pm

[90] i follow that.
