I expect Matt Harvey to pitch his best game of the year today. Only hope C.C. can come close to matching him and the Yanks squeeze out a “W”.
Never mind the late afternoon spring light:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Let's see, Shane Greene got lit up, the Tigers, the erstwhile, best team in baseball have lost four straight, the Yanks are blooming like spring flowers and the Hal is not too cheap to put a good team on the field. Surely we will need some new story lines for next week.
Go down quickly, Indians.
Good. Only missed the first two pitches.
I'm not liking this CC start.
Good recovery
Nice snag, Didi!
Steal here? (Third inning, Brett on first with two out.)
I wouldn't.
[7] I general, I'm not a fan of "stand there and hope we string together three consecutive two out hits against Matt Harvey."
Whew.
Like Ellsbury in the field, for sure.
Nice catch, me.
That was one of them there scary fly balls.
[8] Yes, I think I might remember you mentioning that!
I'm not a fan of CS. I like base runners when we hit our homers.
Crud
Ack.
Damn.
(Too bad Murphy didn't get caught stealing before that triple.)
[12] Planning to hit homers against Matt Harvey may not be the best strategy either.
Goddamn 2 out runs. Fuck!
Dammit!
I just hate giving up outs. It's the worst thing a team can do against a good pitcher.
Speaking of which, this doesn't seem to be CC's night for getting people out.
Sweet. Back to the Isles game.
Crud
[19] I think you really need to take into account who the pitcher is. Station to station baseball and wait for a homerun seems like a foolish way to combat a guy that really doesn't give up homers (or baserunners, really, but that's neither here nor there).
Its like when we used to face Curt Schilling or David Wells and take the first two pitches of every at bat. A gameplan that relies on the pitcher doing something out of character just doesn't make sense to me.
Even the outs have been loud.
Yeesh.
Quite the expensive 5th starter.
These games happen. Just win tomorrow.
I'm glad CC is finally out of there.
He is a great guy but he is looking awful now with diminished velocity and doesn't have control to get away with the lack of gas.
I hope he figures it out but he looks like a BP pitcher right now.
Teix!
Harvey out for the ninth.
just tip your cap to Harvey and lace 'em up tomorrow.
